Executives & Boards
As a professional, I can work on projects that include executive board presentations, and public-relation compelling messages for companies, larger or smaller, in nearly every branch.
At the executive & board level, I am fluent in many topics, write in a conversational tone, so a speaker sounds to his audience as if he's speaking in a non-scripted manner. I weave various elements of a presentation together, in a way that is both comprehensive and makes sense to an audience. Complex material and information are described in detail so, the audience concedes its meaning.
A client typically hires me for specific purposes in the context of super branding. Loyal, I follow the scripting guidelines the speaker provides. For example, I am usually given instructions on how long a speech should be, the specific topics to be covered, and background information about the audience the speaker will be addressing.
In some instances, I will be asked to weave statistics into a script, and the presentation must be precise and accurate. I am a skilled researcher and fact-checker on a doctoral level and will always demonstrate close attention to detail.
This is especially important in scenarios such as drafting a presentation for a CEO who is giving a board of directors a year-end financial report or scripting copy for a chairman to deliver as part of a campaign stop.
In these cases, the minor mistake on the part of a writer reflects poorly on the speaker. In some instances, such as in a close political campaign in an organization, that could have serious consequences.
Routinely I will prevent that from happening. Instead, I always find the ability to craft a script, that is personally and professionally representative of the speaker I am writing for.
This involves meeting with the speaker, paying attention to her tone, cadence, and word usage, and even reading through or viewing past scripts or presentations the speaker delivered. This allow me to match the words she writes with the way the speaker naturally presents himself.
